Welcome to Wyzad ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the Wyzad mobile application and website at wyzad.app (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored securely via Firebase Authentication).
- Profile Information: Display name, city, and profile photo (optional).
- Reviews and Content: Product reviews, ratings, photos, comments, and scam flags you submit.
- Google Sign-In: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
- Usage Data: Features you use, screens you visit, and actions you take within the app.
- Push Token: An Expo push notification token to send you alerts for watchlisted products and scam notifications.
- IP Address: Collected automatically when you use the Service.
1.3 Images You Upload
When you upload photos with your reviews, images are stored securely on Cloudinary. We do not use your photos for any purpose other than displaying them alongside your review.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account
- Display your reviews, ratings, and contributions to the community
- Send push notifications for watchlisted products, scam alerts, new reviews, and comments (you can disable these in app settings)
- Calculate and display trust scores for products
- Award trust points and badges for community contributions
- Detect and prevent fraudulent activity and abuse
- Improve the app and develop new features
- Respond to your support requests
- Send city-based scam alerts to users in the affected area
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- With Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google) for authentication and database, Cloudinary for image storage, and Expo for push notifications. These providers process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
- Public Content: Your display name, reviews, ratings, and profile photo are visible to other Wyzad users. Your email address is never made public.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users.

We retain your account data and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days. Reviews and community contributions may be retained in anonymized form to preserve the integrity of trust scores.

- Correction: Update or correct your account information at any time in the app settings
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated personal data
- Opt-Out: Disable push notifications at any time in app settings or device settings

7. Children's Privacy
Wyzad is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@wyzad.app.
8. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. This includes using Firebase's industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

With your permission, we send push notifications to your device for:
- Scam alerts for products on your watchlist
- New reviews on products you're watching
- Comments on your reviews
- City-based scam alerts in your area
- Trust points and badge updates
You can manage notification preferences in the app Settings → Notifications, or disable all notifications in your device settings.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
